Ganga International School, Hiran Kudna achieved a triumphant victory by securing first place in the prestigious Inter- Ganga Debate Competition, hosted by Ganga International School, Kablana, on September 16, 2023. This remarkable achievement highlights our students’ exceptional oratory skills and their commitment to excellence in the field of debating. The event witnessed intense intellectual discourse, and our participants’ outstanding performance truly demonstrated their dedication and preparation. Impressive Investiture Ceremony at Ganga International School

Ganga International School, Hiran Kudna, felicitated the elite members of the Prefectorial Body in a spectacular investiture ceremony, inducting them into their posts. The Principal, Ms.Swati Joshi conferred the batches of honour to these distinguished students and presented them the sashes. In her speech she inspired them to dedicate themselves to the responsibilities of their posts, which will ensure success and glory in future. Prefectorial body presented an impressive march past, led by the Head Girl and the Head Boy proudly bearing the school flag. The freshly inducted Prefectorial Body 2023-24 enthusiastically assumed its office, all set to maintain the dignity of their posts.

Mathelets Organised at GIS, Hiran Kudna

The Senior Dept. of Ganga International School, Hiran Kudna witnessed an intellectual showdown as the highly anticipated Inter-House Maths Quiz took the center stage. This event showcased the remarkable dedication and preparation of all participants as students from all the Houses gathered to compete in this thrilling competition. Their diligent preparation and enthusiasm left no stone unturned in displaying their mathematical prowess.
The dynamic Principal, Ms. Swati Joshi, graced the event with her presence and congratulated all the participants for their outstanding efforts. She emphasized the significance of hard work, dedication, and consistent effort in achieving success, not only in mathematics but in all aspects of life.
The quiz was expertly conducted by the Quiz Master, Ms. Ruby, who engaged the audience and participants alike with her unique and captivating style. The excitement of the audience was electric, and their enthusiastic participation added to the vibrancy of the event. Nanhe Chitrakaar

We celebrate every moment of our life with vibrant colours of nature. They are the source of joy and happiness for everyone. Keeping this in mind, Pre-Primary Department of Ganga International School organised Nanhe Chitrakaar (colouring competition) for LKG and UKG classes. The little artists participated in the competition with great zeal and enthusiasm and at the same time took great care to colour their masterpieces with their creativity. The students coloured beautifully in the picture given to them and exhibited their skills by filling colours in it. The fun they had is certainly going to add a new innings to their colourful childhood memories.

A Self Introduction competition was conducted by the Primary Department.

Introducing oneself to the World is an art . The exposure of this kind boosts the confidence of children and helps them to be more social.The objective of the competition was to develop speaking skills in children.
This activity helped the students to enhance their vocabulary and oratory skills.

Pre-Primary Department of Ganga International School conducted ‘Red Rose’ activity on 17th April 2023 to introduce children into the mesmerizing realm of colours. The shades of red made our tiny tots feel bright, lively and cheerful.
‘Red’ colour symbolizes enthusiasm, life and vitality. The day started off with the colour red everywhere red dress, red rose, red teddy, red car, red apples, The tiny tots looked stunning in their red outfits. Various activities were planned with emphasis on significance of red colour. Our little ones spent a spectacular red day.

INTER HOUSE DOHA VAACHAN COMPETITION

‘Ethics is knowing the difference between what you have a right to do and what is right to do.’ A life without ethics is not worth living. To make students understand the importance of a virtuous life, Secondary Section of GIS organized an Inter House Doha Vaachan Competition. All the students participated with zeal and enthusiasm to express their love for the traditional roots. The event was really a learning experience and emphasized on imbibing ethics and values in behaviour. BEST OUT OF WASTE COMPETITION

Little hands and imaginative minds came together in a creative burst of “Best out of waste Competition” held in the Primary Dept.
The competition aimed to make the students understand the importance of preserving the environment and moreover learn more about sustainability.

They used reusable and recyclable materials like news papers, shoe boxes, bangles, ice cream stick’s and much more. From these items, they created an amazing array of display items and useful everyday objects leaving everyone totally impressed.
The activity helped students understand the value of the need to reduce, reuse and recycle.

ORIGAMI ART COMPETITION

Ganga International School moulds its students talent to utmost height enhancing their creativity and imagination skills.To boost up their talent an Origami Art Competition was organised for Pre Primary children.
Origami is a Japanese art of folding paper into various shapes and figures. Paper folding helps students to learn about basic geometric shapes such as squares, rectangles and triangles. It also improves their eye hand coordination. The students participated actively and created various objects such as bird, dog, flower, boat, star etc. using origami art.The students were assessed on parameters like creativity, neatness, use of origami and overall presentation.The competition was a great success as students were full of zeal and enthusiasm.

Inter House Mathematics Quiz

was conducted for classes VI to VIII on Friday, December 9, 2022. Three students from each house participated with a lot of enthusiasm and showcased their potential and mental ability skills.The quiz comprised of four rounds.The main objective of the quiz was to encourage children to look beyond their textual knowledge and relieve the tension of their daily work routine. It enhanced the inquisitiveness of the students thereby building confidence, mental prowess, and learning at the same time.

Inter House Folk Dance Competition

There are shortcuts to happiness, and dancing is one of them. Dance is the elation of the heart and the dancers are the athletes of God. To bring out the hidden talent in GISians and to give their feet a tap of happiness, GIS organised Inter- House Folk Dance Competition on December 7, 2022. Students participated with great zeal and gave their best. They were judged on the basis of Rhythm, Coordination, Confidence, Techniques and Overall Performance. It was quite an awesome event. Educational Trip to Red Fort & National Museum

 In yet another Educational Trip of senior students of Humanities Stream, a visit to Red Fort & National Museum was arranged.
The students were thrilled beyond measure to see distinct yet amazing archaeological paintings, artefacts, statues, and murals of the medieval era.
The Red Fort in all its glory stood as a live historical and a picturesque gallery.
The students imbibed a great subjective knowledge from exquisite pieces of art, archaeology and architecture from the visit to these places and learnt a lesson of community serving, togetherness, social behavior and team spirit.

Inter-House Basketball Tournament Held at GIS 

An Inter-House Basketball tournament was conducted at GIS, Hiran Kudna, for Grades VI-XII, for boys and girls from 19th Nov, 22 to 24th Nov, 22.
Amazing actions and moves were shown by the budding players of each house.
The final match of boys and girls was conducted between the two best performing houses.
The spectators were thrilled and cheered to support their houses enthusiastically. Fine game and sportsmanship were seen among the teams.

Grand Victory for GIS Hiran Kudna in the Inter-Ganga Football Tournament

Ganga International School, Hiran Kudna, won the finals of Inter-Ganga Football Tournament, defeating GIS Kablana. The Director Col. Ashok Kaul, the inspiration behind this tournament, graced the event, along with Ms. Usha Chauhan, Principal GIS Kablana. The action packed finals, displaying fine football skills, had the audience cheering continuously. Both the teams wrestled fiercely to win the championship. At last with some awesome tackling, GIS Hiran Kudna, clinched the Inter-Ganga Football Tournament, by 4-0, with GIS Kablana being the 1st Runner up, and GIS Sawda 2nd runner up.

ROAD SAFETY AND FIRE SAFETY DRILL HELD AT GIS

Safety is not an intellectual exercise to keep us in work. It is the sum of our contributions to Safety Management. Safety First is Safety Always. To guide the students about Road Safety and Fire Safety Rules and Drill, Ganga International School School, Hiran Kudna invited Mr. J. K. Narwal, from GITAM Institute along with his team to tell students about the importance of following the Road rules and regulations. They also demonstrated fire drill to make students able to fight emergency. It was quite an informative and interactive session.

HURDLE RACE

“Life is like a hurdle race, But we all have our own track to run on, our own race to run for”
Hurdle race was conducted for the students of Pre – Primary. Teachers cheered up the participants throughout the race and it was a spectacular show put up by the teams.
Well said by someone, “It doesn’t matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. At least you participated and finished. There is a lot of satisfaction in that.”

Light the Lamp of Wisdom, Dispel the Darkness of Ignorance

Celebrations enhance the beauty of our existence and ignite a sense of togetherness. To inculcate the same values, Middle Section organised a number of activities. The day started with special assembly followed by various programs.
A PowerPoint Presentation was shared to motivate students to go for “Green Diwali”, along with the pledge.
Adding more to it, ‘Floral Art’ activity was organised where the students made sparkling, illuminating rangoli.The students decorated their classes by making diyas, wall-hangers and lanterns.

Diya Decoration Competition

In order to bring out the creative talents of students and celebrate the Festival of Lights in its true spirit the Diya Decoration Competition for Pre Primary students was held on 19th October 2022. Students participated enthusiastically in the competition. They displayed their creativity by beautifully decorating earthen Diyas with colours and the works. It was sheer pleasure and a great experience for all our students.

Community Helper Day

was organised for the Pre-Primary students. They were dressed up policeman, doctor, soldier, farmer and teacher. They presented their views happily and told that they were proud to be dressed as community helpers and loved their job.

Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotshav’ at Ganga International School

India celebrates its Independence Day as ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotshav’ to commemorate its freedom. GIS began a week long celebration ‘Azadi ka Amrit Utsav’ with immense pride and joy as they paid tribute to the heroes and freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the nation, to bring us freedom, peace, and joy. Students of Pre-Primary & Primary Department, celebrated the Independence Week, with great pride and enthusiasm.
The cultural program, comprised of Poem, Skit, Role Play, group singing and dance, dedicated to the soldiers, who spent their lives away from their friends and family, in their service to our nation.
Everyone’s hearts were stirred deeply with the patriotic speech by the dynamic Principal Ms. Swati Joshi, who encouraged the students to imbibe patriotism, and dedicate their every action, in the service of the Nation.

Activities on ‘Single Use Plastic Ban’

Single use plastic is very harmful for human beings, animals, marine creatures and hydrophytes. The production of single use plastic bags and other plastic items releases toxic chemicals that causes serious diseases. We need to understand the various problems caused by the single use plastic. At GIS we are training the young educated minds to think beyond and come up with innovative ideas with the help of technology that recycles plastic more efficiently so that plastic wastes may get recycled and reused. The Eco Club at GIS is consistently implementing the theory to stop using single use plastic to protect our planet, environment and human beings.

A wise man once said, “After nourishment, shelter and Companionship, stories are the thing we need most in the world.” An Inter-house Poetry Recitation Competition was organized on 21st July, 2022 in Primary department. It is the stories that give wings to our imagination and take us to places beyond the boundaries of our physical world and into the land of fairies, dragons and wishing trees. Storytelling has been an integral part of our childhood. To keep the tradition going and to incite curiosity and the love for reading in children, a storytelling competition was held on 21STJuly, 2022 for classes IV and V. The enthusiastic storytellers performed with their props came forth with a wonderful tale. The stories were judged on the basis of expressions, confidence and presentation skills of the children. The event was thoroughly enjoyed by the audience. The Results are as follow:

English Debate Competition ‘Let My Words Speak’ Held at GIS

‘The best way to predict your future is to create it.’ Youth of our nation must also learn to be independent. To make the young minds of GIS curious and to observe their views, Ganga International School organized an Inter House English Debate Competition on July 19,2022, on the topic ‘Earning while Learning must be encouraged Among Students’. All the participants gave their best to express their opinions for or against the motion. Respected Principal Ms. Swati Joshi appreciated and congratulated the participants for their efforts. PAPER BAG MAKING

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change

Taking this thought forward, students of of classes LKG & UKG participated in the Green Drive. The objective of the drive was to indulge students in the habit of recycling by teaching them how to make paper bags and making them aware about the threat of plastic bags to the environment. The students were taught how to make paper bags from recycled paper
The green drive was a great success with positive remarks from both students and teachers.

“Summer Bonanza” 

was organized for the students of Classes LKG and UKG on Friday May 20, 2022 where they were treated to Ice Creams in order to enjoy a cool treat on a hot summer day. The party was aimed at instilling in the students the spirit of sharing. It was a fun filled moment for the students as they all got to share ice cream with each other. This was also a means of acquainting the students with each other while having something every child finds difficult to resist. The students all went back home with sweet memories of the wonderful time they had in school that day. The party was a real energy booster for our Tiny Tots

Mother‘s Day

A mother is she who can take the place of all others but whose place no one else can take.
 Mother‘s Day is round the corner. It is an occasion which is celebrated to express respect, honor and love towards the mothers.
The students of Middle School expressed their feelings through an activity- *3D Card Making,* held on 2nd May 2022.
They thanked their Mom by making heartfelt cards.Moreover, Ayushi of class VIII expressed her gratitude by playing a musical tune for Mother’s Day Celebration.
A blend of exceptional creativity and imagination was displayed by the students.The competition aimed at promoting creativity and self- expression among students.

Blessing Ceremony Held at GIS, Hiran Kudna

A Blessing Ceremony was held at GIS, Hiran Kudna to shower blessings on the Students of Class XII for their upcoming Board exams and to motivate them to put forth their best endeavors for a fruitful result.
It was an over-whelming moment when Students of Class XII expressed their cherished memories in school through their heart-touching words. Their enthusiastic presentation of melodious ‘Aashaye’ and the medley of various dances left everyone spellbound. Candle lighting was done by all Students and Teachers to invoke the blessings of the almighty and to spread the light of knowledge around.
The School Principal Ms Swati Joshi, enlightened the students with her words of wisdom, wished that each student comes out with flying colours and bring laurels to themselves. The gala program proceeded with a cake-cutting ceremony and with a zealous grand finale performance. The students parted with an emotional note and left enriched with the blessings of GIS family.

Sunny Sunflower:

Decked in yellow, we are in mellow. The little ones of Ganga International School,  celebrated Yellow Colour day with ecstasy, joy and happiness. They have indulged in creating different craft work, bearing the theme yellow. They chose to be decked up in yellow colour dresses. The essence of colour yellow has truly been captured by them, in right earnest, that has turned the occasion beautiful and extremely eye soothing, which the colour yellow really epitomises.

A Clean Earth is a Happy Earth!!

On the occasion of Earth Day, 3R’s Conservation Activity was organised on 22nd April 2022,in which the Students of Middle School enthusiastically to commemorate our benevolent Mother Earth 🌎.
The students turned trash into treasure and learnt the art of reusing, reducing and recycling ♻️.
The event instigated the youngsters to save, love and respect Mother Nature with all their heart and soul.

RED RIDING HOOD

Colour “Red” symbolizes new beginning. It not only symbolizes spring or rebirth, it also symbolizes love, energy and life force.
To teach about the symbolism and importance of the colour “Red” to our Kindergarten children, Red Day was celebrated on 13th April, 2022, Wednesday. Students were asked to dress in red colour dresses. Students brought different red coloured things like apple, tomatoes, pomegranate, strawberry, caps etc. “Knowledge is of no value unless you put it into practice”, said Anton Chekhov. Our teachers at Ganga International School make sure the students put the gained knowledge into practice through various activities right from the beginning of their education.

Colour My world and Poster Making Competition

Keeping this in mind and to explore the creative potential in the young minds of our children,Colouring and Poster Making competition were conducted on 12/05/22 for Primary children where the Little ones have always fantasized about colors.Coloring Competition, where in students brought in their colorful imaginations.

The children showcased their creative skills in colouring and poster making. The result was amazing art work.This fun filled activity witnessed an enthusiastic participation by all students.

MAKE YOURSELF KNOWN COMPETITION

HELD ON 13 APRIL 2022

All the students Of Primary Department (Classes 1-3) took part in the competition. As the saying goes” It is important to know yourself before knowing the world”. Keeping this in mind a “MAKE YOURSELF KNOWN” competition was organized for the students to enhance their oratory skills. 

Introducing oneself to the World is an art. The exposure of this kind boosts the confidence of children and helps them to be more social. Children were excited and felt more confident when they introduced themselves to their classmates. We endeavor to build a confident new generation of India. The oratory and presentation skills of tiny tots were outstanding.

BLUE BERRY DAY (BLUE COLOUR DAY)

BLUE is a cool and calming color that shows creativity and intelligence. Tiny – Tots of Ganga International School celebrated Blue Colour Day. 
The dress code of the day was blue. All the children dressed up in different shades and hues of blue.
To make the activity more inclusive, children brought different objects like toys, decorative items, based on the theme. Deliberately planned in-class activities enabled the little ones not only to learn innovative games but also enhanced their logical and reasoning minds.
Blue Day was an amazing learning experience which had a long-lasting effect on every student.

“Laughter is the sun that drives winter from the human face.” To add up the brightness of laughter, Secondary Section of Ganga International School organized an Inter House Hasya KavitaCompetition on February 3,2022. All the participants participated with zeal and enthusiasm to make everyone roll with laughter. They were judged on the basis of confidence, content, theme and overall presentation. POWERPOINT PRESENTATION COMPETITION

was organized by the Primary Department. Theme for the presentation was *VIRUS OMICRON.*The presentation included visual and audio cues,which helped a presenter to be more improvisational and interactive with the audience. It also encouraged self -learning amongst the students.

The students of Middle School exhibited their culinary skills in the activity ‘ Cuisinier of GIS’ held on 10th December 2021.

BEST OUT OF WASTE ACTIVITY HELD ON DECEMBER 08, 2021 OF CLASSES I-V

  • Ganga International School, Hiran Kudna, was conferred the ‘Cosmopolitan Award for the Best School’ in Students’ Exchange Programme and Cultural Activities on 9th January 2016. The co-ordinators Ms. Prerana Chauhan and Ms. Purvi Kumar received the award, on behalf of GIS, in a glittering ceremony, organized by PARAKH, Reforming Education, a prominent NGO. The award was given in recognition of initiating excellent International Students’ Exchange and encouraging Cultural Activities, under the able guidance of the Principal Ms. Charu Kapoor, who diligently ensures that the students develop international understanding in education, in order to become exemplary global citizens.
  • Friendly Cricket Match between Heritage Club, South Africa and Ganga International School
    November 26,2019: Ganga International School, Hiran Kudna, Delhi took a step ahead when the school lush green playground witnesseda friendly cricket match between The Heritage Club of South Africa and the school cricket team on Tuesday, 26th November 2019. The host school won the toss and chose to bowl first. It was really a mesmerizing experience to relish the sport with wonderstruck eyes. Tainko of the South African Club team made 43 runs to sow the seeds of troubles for the host team whereas Yashdeep of the school team played very well and took three wickets in 2.4 overs. The South African Heritage Club team played very well and set a huge target of 165 runs for 10 wickets in 24.5 overs. In second innings, the school team put on a good show. Rituraj of the school team ran for 19 runs and Gaurav Bhardwaj hit 24 runs. The students of the school took great delight while watching the match with unprecedented zeal and enthusiasm and cheered the team. But the host team couldn’t stand for long and collapsed completely after making 123 runs in 22.1 overs paving the way for the opposite team to win the match. Kehlim of the Heritage Club won “Man of the Match”. On this occasion the benevolent presence of the school principal, Ms Charu Kapoor, encouraged the players very much. The school principal congratulated the winner team and awarded with the trophy.
